Εν όψει της συνάντησης με τους εκπροσώπους της ΕΤΕπ στην Αθήνα, στις 18 Μαίου 2022, στείλαμε στην επί κεφαλής κυρία εκπρόσωπο της ΕΤΕπ το ακόλουθο μήνυμα:

Dear Ms JURKEVICIUTE …Please be kind enough to provide the following information concerning the Meeting of May 18, in Athens:
1. What is the purpose of the Meeting and what are the EIB C expectations?
2. Who will participate?
3. What are the interim conclusions of the EIB Complaints Mechanism so far, concerning the Erasinos public work, following the 3 complaints raised, in summer 2021?
4. Are there additional information and clarifications you are willing to collet? Please be as analytic as possible, for each one of the 3 complaints you have received.
5. May we take knowledge of the arguments provided to EIBC by the a) Greek Ministry of Infrastructures (responsible for the project), b) Ministry of Finance (financing the project), c) Ministry of the Environment and the General Secretariat of Natural Environment and Waters (protection of the Environment, the ecosystems and of vulnerable species/Attikopsaro, etc), d) Ministry of Culture (protection of the archaeological site from floods), e) State Council (signature of Presidential Decree of Erasinos demarcation, 6 months later of the public work initiation, and acceptance of amendment of Erasinos demarcation to protect an illegally build/unauthorised house on the river?) f) Municipality of Markopoulo (awareness, authorization, no reactions so far).
6. Have the Greek authorities presented a complete plan for the protection and management of the Erasinos river from its starting point/sources in Ymittos Mountain along its entire journey to the sea in Vravrona (The European approach of “Nature Based Solutions”)?
7. Have the Greek authorities presented the entire plan of the management of the rain waters from the Athens International airport and their way to the see or the nearby cultivated agricultural areas? Does a mechanism for the monitoring of the quality and pollution of waters after the airport towards the sea exists and is operational?
8. Have the Greek authorities presented to EIB the number of persons/houses (legal and illegal) which are in danger form floods along the Erasinos river? Any other public infrastructures in the area also in danger?
